About our Cub Scout & Tiger Programs

One of the oldest in the country, the Piedmont Council Cub Scout program is for boys in first through fifth grades. Cub Scouting, including our Tiger program for younger boys and Webelos program for fourth and fifth graders, gives boys an opportunity to meet new people, learn valuable skills, and have a lot of fun. We camp overnight, organize hikes, stay on the Hornet, and compete at our annual Pinewood Derby, where boys build and race their own wooden cars for prizes!

Boys are organized in to dens: small groups of boys of the same age that meet at den members’ houses to work on achievements and activities. Several dens make up a pack. Packs have meetings about once a month, and are an opportunity for the boys to show off skits and songs, play games, and be awarded pins and patches for their work.
