Help with Eagle Scout project - Donate books!Eagle News—April 11, 2007

Kieran Craigie, a PHS junior and a member of the Piedmont Council Boy Scouts' Troop 15, is seeking donations of books for his Eagle Project.
For the past 5 summers, he has worked at the Centro Infantil de la Raza Child Development Center in Oakland, where the elementary school students are mostly children of new immigrants. English is a second language for most of them. Craigie proposes to collect books to help the staff and students imrpove their English language skills. In addition, he will be building bookshelves at the school to house the books. Donations of gently used (or new) books may be left at the front door at 330 El Cerrito Avenue, or can be picked up by calling Craigie at 658-9148.
