Wood Badge Adult Leadership Training

August 24, 2018 - August 26, 2018

Wood Badge is the ultimate adult outdoor and leadership training. It is open to all registered adult Scouting volunteers at any level. During the course, participants share concepts that identify new approaches and add insight and program improvements, even for the most experienced leaders. This 6-day course, held over 2 weekends, is sponsored by the Piedmont, Marin and Redwood Empire BSA Councils.

Wood Badge consists of two parts. The first part teaches leadership and outdoor skills in a experiential hands-on environment. Participants also develop goals that will reinforce these new skills. During the second part, completion of these personal goals within 18 months entitles you to become a Wood Badge graduate.

You can participate in this two-weekend training course if you:

  • Are currently registered as an adult Scouter in a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, or Venturing unit, or if you hold a district or council position
  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Have completed Youth Protection Training
  • Submit a completed application and pay the total fee prior to the deadline
