PCSC’s Annual Rebuilding Together Oakland Event: April 6th and 13th
Each year, PCSC works tirelessly to raise funds for our RTO sponsorship project. This year, raising a total of around $12,000, PCSC is coming together once again to renovate the home of a low income family in Oakland. The homeowners, Paul and Susana, have both lived in the Bay Area for most of their lives, but they were never able to afford to properly maintain their home. They were both overjoyed when our RTO leaders team revealed its decision to improve their home. The work will span across to 2 main work days in April as well as numerous preparatory days in March. When work is completed, the Wong family will be provided with a safe and stable living environment for years to come.
Rebuilding Together New Orleans: Summer Opportunity
Piedmont Community Service Crew is partnering up with Rebuilding Together New Orleans to organize a summer trip for PCSC members. A group of devoted PCSC members will head down to New Orleans for one week this coming summer, stay in a rental home together, and work each day in the city to rebuild the home of a low-income resident. The trip is similar to the work that PCSC does in Oakland, but this trip is specifically a fantastic opportunity to see the change that we can bring across our country, not just our local community.
