Friends of Scouting Campaign
More than 1000 Piedmont area youth take part in the adventures and character building programs found in Scouting. In doing so, they discover new skills and develop into the leaders of tomorrow. They also give thousands of hours back to our community in service to our local schools, non-profit organizations and parks.
Gifts from alumni, community supporters, and Scouting families are essential to maintaining the program locally.
The Friends of Scouting Annual Giving Campaign provides approximately 30% of the Council’s operating budget. Every gift, regardless of size, directly funds our Scouting programs that provide leadership training, community service and a wide range of educational opportunities through experiential learning.
Why We Give
“We support the Piedmont Council because of the unique experiences it has offered our sons outside of school and the sports field. The hands-on leadership opportunity is unmatched and the wide array of skills they develop is truly unique to Scouting. They will draw upon these experiences for the rest of their lives.”
