 In PCSC

The Piedmont Community Service Crew (PCSC) has for the past year been building a “Tiny House” that will house a homeless teen, and it has finally been completed! After the structure had been built, a team of crew volunteer artists led by Quelam Tran Perez painted a stunning mural on the walls. PCSC is now planning to build a second tiny house this fall, helping Youth Spirit Artworks to realize their vision for 100 tiny houses to address teen homelessness.  This project was not only a fun and rewarding experience for crew members, but it allows PCSC to make an impact on the really tough housing situation in the Bay Area.

PCSC plans to build a 2nd tiny house starting this September.  Crew members will do the planning, organizing and actual construction work, but the first step is to raise $12,500 to cover the cost of materials by the end of August.

Please make a tax deductible donation soon to fund this project! Contact Crew Advisor [email protected] for more information about making a donation or joining PCSC.

VP Fundraising, Sofia Prieto Black and Julia Banuelos, are responsible for various fundraising projects to support our many philanthropic endeavors that support this Tiny House Project, feeding the food insecure, etc. Please be on the lookout for news about our upcoming virtual garage sale, a halloween-themed activity kit for families, and much more!
