The Piedmont Community Service Crew (PCSC) has for the past year been building a “Tiny House” that will house a homeless teen, and it has finally been completed! After the structure had been built, a team of crew volunteer artists led by Quelam Tran Perez painted a stunning mural on the walls. PCSC is now planning to build a second tiny house this fall, helping Youth Spirit Artworks to realize their vision for 100 tiny houses to address teen homelessness.  This project was not only a fun and rewarding experience for crew members, but it allows PCSC to make an impact on the really tough housing situation in the Bay Area.

PCSC plans to build a 2nd tiny house starting this September.  Crew members will do the planning, organizing and actual construction work, but the first step is to raise $12,500 to cover the cost of materials by the end of August.

Please make a tax deductible donation soon to fund this project! Contact Crew Advisor [email protected] for more information about making a donation or joining PCSC.
