Scouting for Food Drive Pick-up

Piedmont Council BSA has a long history of assisting the Alameda County Community Food Bank serve those in need. Every November, Scouts and coed Venturing members go door-to-door in Piedmont collecting more than 8,000 lbs. of nutritious, non-perishable foods, such as canned fruits, vegetables and meats; canned soup; peanut butter; pasta and canned (not bottled) pasta sauce. Cub Scouts will drop off flyers to Piedmont households on 11/9. Scouts BSA youth will pick-up donations on 11/16 at 9AM.
Piedmont residents are asked to put donations on their doorstep by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, 11/16. Cub Scouts will leave information about the Food Drive at each Piedmont home on 11/9. Donations may also be dropped off at the Council office collection barrels during the week.
