Scouting for Food and Clothing Drive

Piedmont Council, BSA has a long history of assisting the Alameda County Community Food Bank serve those in need. Every November, Scouts and coed Venturing members go door-to-door in Piedmont collecting more than 8,000 lbs. of nutritious, non-perishable foods, such as canned fruits, vegetables and meats; canned soup; peanut butter; pasta and canned (not bottled) pasta sauce.

Note: New this year– Scouts will also be collecting clean, gently used clothing for the Goodwill.  

Piedmont residents are asked to put donations on their doorstep by 9:00 a.m. on the collection day. Cub Scouts will leave information about the Food Drive at each Piedmont home the week before. Donations may also be dropped off at 799 Magnolia Ave., Piedmont that morning, or at the Council office collection barrels during the week.
